Labourer - Material Handling / Yard Worker
DUTIES
Tasks would include (but are not limited to):
REQUIREMENTS
Hours of Work: 40 hours per week - Monday to Friday - 7:30 am to 3:45 pm
Location: Mount Uniacke, Nova Scotia
Wages & Benefits: $22 per hour, group benefits package - details will be provided prior to job interview
Tasks would include (but are not limited to):
- Inventory management & control - receiving and organizing incoming inventory
- Piling, sorting and organizing hardware, material & equipment
- Ongoing maintenance and cleaning of formwork equipment
- Maintaining an overall cleanliness of the main facility and ensuring yard is well organized
- Heavy lifting (up to 65 lbs)
- Helping other workers when needed
- Loading and unloading of tractor trailers and trucks
- Using power tools
- Operating forklift, telehandler, front end loader
REQUIREMENTS
- Confidence and ability to handle individual tasks in a timely manner
- Job is located outside of a bus route - your own reliable transportation to get to work is a must
- Professional attitude, respectful behavior towards others, reliability, trustworthy and competent
- Mandatory - WHMIS 2015, Fall Protection Certificate
- Rigging training is an asset
- Organizational skills
- Experience & general knowledge of construction, formwork and concrete equipment/material would be an asset
- Tools required: 20 oz Hammer, 8 m / 25' combination Measuring Tape, 12" Adjustable Wrench, Tool Belt / Pouch
- Must have CSA approved work boots and CSA approved Type 2 Class E Hard hat
